Horsebit loafer
Loafer with a metal bar shaped like a horse bit across the vamp. The bar is a clear identifying feature; the design goes back to Gucci. In black smooth leather it goes with gray or charcoal wool trousers. With jeans it quickly looks too pronounced.

From the Guide
- Black smooth leather loafers want gray trousers. With beige, sand and brown we avoid them; with navy and jeans they only work.
- Black smooth leather loafers with navy trousers work, but are not safe.
