Hiking boot
Ankle-high hiking boot made of smooth leather with a coarse lug sole and speed hooks at the top, often welted and resolable. The best-known model has red laces, which have become its trademark. It goes with jeans, corduroy and flannel, with knitwear and a down jacket, in the mountains as in the winter city. It does not go with a sport coat and pleated trousers or with a suit.

From the Guide
- Boots need trousers with weight: safe with jeans, taupe, olive and brown. With light summer trousers they are too heavy.
- Boots suit chinos in fall, not linen trousers in summer.
