Oxford cloth
Cotton fabric in a basket weave, usually with a colored warp and a white, somewhat thicker weft. This gives the surface a slightly heathered, textured look. It is sturdier and more casual than poplin and the typical fabric for button-down shirts. Pinpoint Oxford is a finer, smoother variant.

From the Guide
- White is safe with light trousers, navy, jeans, taupe and olive. With gray and brown it works, but looks flatter; a top with texture helps there.
- Light blue goes with almost any trousers: beige, sand, taupe, olive, gray and navy are safe. With jeans and brown it works, but is not the first choice.
