Poplin shirt
Shirt made of poplin: smooth, dense and fine, with a collar that carries a tie, such as the wide-spread cutaway collar. It is worn tucked in and is more formal than an Oxford or chambray shirt. In white or light blue it goes with a suit, a sport coat and wool trousers. With jeans and sneakers it quickly looks like an office shirt in the wrong place.

From the Guide
- White is safe with light trousers, navy, jeans, taupe and olive. With gray and brown it works, but looks flatter; a top with texture helps there.
- Light blue goes with almost any trousers: beige, sand, taupe, olive, gray and navy are safe. With jeans and brown it works, but is not the first choice.
