Linen trousers
Summer trousers made of linen or a linen-cotton blend. Pure linen is especially airy and wrinkles visibly; the blend wrinkles less. Light, muted shades such as ecru or sand go with polo, camp-collar shirt and loafers.

From the Guide
- Boots suit chinos in fall, not linen trousers in summer.
- With light trousers (chinos in beige or sand, linen in ecru), white sneakers and brown suede loafers are the safest.
- Black smooth leather loafers and most lace-ups look harsh with beige.
